I was looking at purchasing a couple of IPC-HDW5231R-ZE but after speaking with Andy he said that the IPC-HDW5231R-ZE has now been discontinued!

He mentioned the IPc-T3241T-ZAS, i read the review on her for it but not completely sold that it seems as good as it. any one got any experience with it? or any help with what is a good alternative would be appreciated!

Thanks

I just replaced an old IPC-HDW5231R-ZE with the T5442T-ZE. It is a 4MP on a 1/1.8" sensor with a 2.7-12mm varifocal lens. To me, this is the replacement for the IPC-HDW5231R-ZE. It is better at night than the 5231.

PS: have no experience with the T3241T-ZAS.

I just got two 3241T-ZAS and am happy with them. I also have a 5231T-ZE and the night video of the 3241 is easily on a par with the 5231. Day images are every bit as sharp and the color rendition is just a tad better than the 5231. I also have a couple of 5442s and they outperform both the 5231 and the 3241 but are a little more expensive.
