I've had a Hikvision DS-2CD3132-I dome camera on the front porch for several years and never had any IR reflection problems. I liked the camera so much I decided to buy another for the back of the house. The reflection was TERRIBLE and rendered the camera useless at night.
I returned the cam and puchased the Hikvision DS-2CD2342WD-I turret cam and am very happy with the results: great night time vision.
The moral is, you might get lucky with a dome camera, but can't go wrong with a turret.

...And if you need to open it at any time, and you will need to along the way, what was a great camera will exhibit humidity and fog inside forever more. Everything about a dome camera works against the outdoors, and IR as well. Avoid.
