IPC-HFW4300S help

Your cat5 tester might just be testing for continuity? Also, what is the length of the wire? Is it more than 300feet?

Do you have BOTH ends wired the same as this?

Yes, that is what it looks like.

This is the tester I have. thttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...gclid=CMiwtdTjgsYCFYREaQodHgUAbA&gclsrc=aw.ds

My cable run is about 100 foot, probably less.

I have the cameras going now. Something was wrong with the wires, but i still don't know exactly what that was.

Thanks Vector18 and Fenderman for your help.

BTW, that tester does not test the configuration, it only tests continuity on 8 wires.

Thanks again for your help. Everything seems to be working. Only thing I am noticing with the cameras is that the time keeps changing after I save and refresh the camera.

Set the time in the cameras first. If your setting DST, set it up than save it. Than go to the time and sync with PC and save it. Than do the same for the NVR. If you change the time, than set DST, it adjust one hour on it's own.
