Im looking to get a few of these cam for night cams, are these still the best bang for the buck for night?
Also, I dont have any overhangs on my house, I will be mounting them under the gutter for some shelter, will these handle Michigan weather? Can these be mounted in a vertical position?
 
Can't confirm on weather, as I live in California, but i have seen some good reports from colder climates. Yes the cams can be mounted vertically. You can also change the orientation of the picture on Blue Iris. I think the 5231's are still the best for the money. The ultra starlight's however with the heater would be even better.
