I have a IPC-HDW4231EMP-ASE that I can't seem to get a connection to. It was last connected to around January. It was installed in a remote location without Internet access, and hadn't been checked all winter. They went to go connect to it in the spring and couldn't get a connection. It was powered using a Ubiquiti 802.3af POE Injector.
When I power it up using the Ubiquiti Injector, the cam powers up, the green LED inside comes on, and I can hear the IR Cut Filter move on the cam. If I set my computer to 192.168.1.50 and plug it into the POE Injector to establish a connection though, it only ever says "Network Cable Unplugged". It is never even able to see it is connected to anything.
If I try to power it up using a Dahua 8 Port POE Switch, it doesn't power up.
I've tried a new POE Injector, with the same results. Tried resetting it, no difference.
Does anyone have any ideas? I have a serial adapter on the way, but not sure if it is going to be of any benefit for this situation. Any help appreciated. Thanks,
