IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-PRO Good or nah?

Does your 3849 have any controls for enabling/disabling Smart Illumination as an attribute/Event linkage for MD/SMD or IVS?

My 4MP doesn’t

I can enable/disable the circus lights and siren directly linked to the IVS rule and MD. But I have no such direct linkage to Smart Illumination…

No, the camera does not. It's exactly the same as yours.

The 8Mp has less noise, right? Both 8,33/50, H264H , Bitrate 16384

Won’t be able to tell without movement close in within about 12ft

I see little noise without movement

Dont count the sky, it will always be a cluster with partial sky/partial ground scene

Now I can add enough white light with external lights to counter much of it.
All depends on what you're going to do.
Mine is only White Lights on when it sees a human,

If I leave a porch light on It will look even better, like any camera

I just tested the 4MP Smart Illumination again to be certain. It’s easy to falsely associate it with AI enabled

  • Triple checked that MD/SMD was OFF on camera AND NVR
  • Triple checked that IVS is OFF on camera AND NVR

- Smart Illumination enabled for Human

- Day/Night settings to Auto

White LEDs DO come on when I enter the scene for the 60 seconds set.

Smart Ilumination is NOT dependent on any other AI in any way on my FW V3.140.0000000.7.R, Build Date: 2024-10-18

In mycase, I dont want the white LED's to come on from sunset until about 11pm becasue we are constantly in and out of that door.

So I setup a 3rd Custom Profile for that time slot, where I have Smart Illumination disabled and normal IR mode set

My settings look like this. SMD+MD off. Intelligent lighting with Ivs Trigger.

Time Plan settings doesn’t control it.

Turn OFF IVS completely on camera AND NVR

This is why I asked the question on my post #25 about settings for IVS and SMD associating them with Smart illumination.
If there was a dependency there would be an Event Linkage setting.

That is a very useful feature, looking forwards to use it when my TiOC Pro cam arrives in a few days. Just to confirm, ANY IVS rules will trigger the white light IF MD and SMD is off on the latest version?

Does anyone have the latest PV-S5 (TiOC 3.0) versions that can test if this exists as well?

That is also true, does the SMART DUAL LIGHT cameras have that event linkage as well or is it similar to the TiOC Pro camera?
