I have a IPC-B5442E-Z4E whose focal length can be adjusted between 8mm to 32mm. Is there a way for me to see at what focal length the camera is currently set at. I looked at the web interface and in the live view I can adjust the zoom from value 0 to 630 but it doesn't say anywhere anything about mm. Is 0 = 8mm and 630 = 32mm. So then a value of 630/2=315 would be 8+(32-8)/(630/315)=20mm? Or for a value of 200 it would be 8+(32-8)/(630/200)=16mm?

I was wondering the same thing about calculating the focal point. That's a lot of math!

Thanks. The calculator gave me the same result as what I calculated in my first post. I was first a bit confused what Z is but it's just the values that is shown in the web interface. So in my case Zmax is 630 because that is what the web interface tell me when I zoom all the way in. Then Zsp is just the value to that you use for your actual zoom setting in the web interface. In my case I had it set to 480 which is then calculated as 26mm.
