Installing cameras on long building

I am putting cameras in a building that is approx 275 ft long.
Main camera server/switch will be at one end, I I need to put like 4 cameras on other end of building and one every approx 40 ft.
I know it’s not really logical to run approx 10 cables and 275ft
So someone told me to set up switch on other side but I’m just not sure how to do it

So you use two switches. No camera cable is greater than 80'. Except maybe the 4 at the far end due to routing considerations. You have one cable that is 200' from the switch at the camera server to the POE switch at the 200' mark. Of course, this can be modified if you only have an 8-port POE at the far end by just taking the cam at 120' off of the far switch and route it to the switch at the camera server.

^What he said, plus I'd add this: Ensure that your PoE switches have gigabit uplink connections so the cable running between them (and the cable to your server) doesn't get maxed out of bandwidth.

Don't cheap out on cable or POE switchs.
