I have a system with 4 cameras. One of the cameras is having problems with infrared night vision. The red LED lights did not come on so there was no night vision. I powered off the cameras (all the cameras are connected to one plug) and then powered them back on again and the LED lights came on and the night vision was working. It worked for about 2 weeks then stopped working again. I did the same thing (powering off the cameras) and the LED lights came on and it was working again. The same thing happened for a third time (after about 2 days) and again I got the night vision working by powering off the cameras. Does anybody know why this keeps on happening and is there anything I can do to stop it happening again?

Its a Swann DVR4-1580 4 channel 720P HD digital video recorder with PRO-T835 cameras
It stays in colour, but because the infrared is not working is very dark.
the cameras' plug is plugged into a 4-way (13 amp 250 volt ) adapter, which has 2 plugs plugged into it - the cameras' plug and the DVR plug.

That's only 6w per camera - which when the IR kicks in may be marginal enough that the voltage droops enough to affect one of the cameras.
