Hi All,

I am a newbie, I just went through some Youtube videos on how to
set up BI on a PC.

I noticed that there is a single path for keeping the video footage.
Meaning a single disk is used. E.g: C:\BlueIris\db (but I can change the path
to something else. Like d:\BlueIris\db if I desired)

In future, if I want to increase storage by buying more hard disk,
how am I going to keep all footage on all drives? By adding more
folders?

Anyone tries to keep footage on an ISCSI capable NAS?

Thank you in advance.

The DB file should always be on your fasted disk. Its a database. The storage can be set to multiple disks, just point the folder to the new disk. You can have some cams record to one disk and some to another. Use the aux folders. See the help file.

Thanks for replying, is there a pdf HELP available for me to read offline.
I rather like to print it out and read it at my own time, if that is possible.

No, there is no offline PDF of the current BI Help file...but you could use one of the Windows Help file to Word or Windows Help file to PDF converters which are out there and roll your own.

I just added another disk had have the files move there after 30 days. They go to a folder on the new drive (3gig) and sit there for 6months or until space is needed. Leave the DB on the install drive.
