Unfortunately the tree is upstream of the dock/boats. The next flood will push the tree into them and smash stuff so it has to go.The fish will appreciate the natural shelter though.....
I'm going to have to hire someone with a trackhoe big enough to pull it out so I can cut it up I guess. $$$$$...

I knew this was coming. This was two weeks ago, 1/13/24:
Decent size river for boating, lived in Raleigh for a while, but never been to Wilmington, friend has a son finishing up at UNC-W. Had tree do the same, onto my neighbor's lawn close to their driveway. Took me two weekends to clean it up, a lot of work with a small chainsaw, chain went dull halfway thru the cleanup.
