My first post. I am looking to purchase a POE system from Nelly's. I know there is software on the NVR to view live and playback recordings, but I plan to keep the NVR in the basement and to view on a monitor hooked into the NVR is just not convenient. I also know that there are apps, but what I would like is to view the cameras on my PC, which has a nice large screen in high resolution. Is that possible?

Should be. Depending on how updated they are with their software you can login using a regular web browser and view everything that way.
I looked at the iSpy. Looks to me like you run it on a PC "running" the software to record and view. I would be looking at an NVR setup and want to view live and recorded video from my PC, not from a monitor hooked up to an NVR.
Thank you. I'd like to see if someone responds who uses it and how easy it is to setup. I know some of these software packages require intimate knowledge of networking, of which I am a novice.
