How to tell if it’s legit international version?

Seems like a good deal. What’s the likelihood that this is one of the “good” ones at such a low price?

it is not...that model is not...firmware is not upgradable also points to hacked...avoid 4mp dahua if low light/night vision is important.

the model is not found on the dahua international site and as i said, firmware is NOT upgradable,...firmware is always upgradable on international models. if the price is too good to be true there is a reason.

AND, if it says not upgradeable its is NEVER an international camera...both issues independently tell you its not an international camera.

It does not support upgrading firmware. You are asking for trouble.
Buy the camera from Andy, You may spend more but you have support.

You get what you pay for.
