How to remove ring from turret cam?

I have a hikvision 2342 that I installed a while back that I need to adjust direction and I forgot how the ring comes off to loosen the screws and move it. Anyone know how it comes off? It's cold as hell in MN so I don't want to spend a bunch of time outside on the ladder. Thanks.

It's getting the darn think back on that is causing me issues.

You over tightened the screws. The three screws that screw the metal turret base to the mounting surface are over tightened. Back each of them out slightly so that the camera sits flush to the surface without moving but isn't smashed into the surface. As soon as you back out those three screws ever so slighly that mud ring will slide right back on and lock.

Hey dude, I think you suggest that on my own thread, I tried to back it off, but still haven't been able to get the SOB back on as yet.

HAHA, then you have seriously screwed something up by bending or breaking a clip possibly. Its a plastic ring with three lock points - you put on and twist. If you've backed it out and still can't then something is broke.

Ah deep joy.. :(

What I found is you have to use very very little pressure. I was getting a reasonable grip on it and couldn't budge it an inch - then tried by literally using 2 fingers for gentle pressure and it moved easily. Guess its very easy to distort it and make it bind up.
