how to get motion/human detection working on hikvision nvr?

since moving all my cameras across to me new hikvision iDS-7732NXI-M4/X NVR i cant get motion detection or human detection working on it apart from 2 cameras which are hikvision.
i got a dozen new Colour4K-T cameras from Andy which are dahua, not sure the hikvision nvr will not work with those functions on dahua cameras??
my old NVR was hikvision as well and the motion detection worked fine on dahua cameras.
in the time line at the bottom of the screen in play back it used to have marks of where movement was, not any more.
how do i set it up if possible??

Did you manage to get this sorted? Have you enabled motion detection and set the area on the Dahua camera via it's web interface?

I also upgraded from a iDS-7732NI-I4 to the iDS-7732NXI-M4 and having the same issue but with a Hikvision DS-2CD2T46G1-4I/SL.
All my cameras except this one show up in the drop down under General->Event->Motion Detection.
No issues with a 12MP Dahua and a generic IP camera.
