how to get Hik ColorVu to work with Amcrest NVR?

I got this Amcrest POE NVR. it has ONVIF.
I also just got this poe ip cam Hikvision ColorVu DS-2CD2347G1-L . it also has ONVIF.
i plugged the cam directly into the back of the NVR. the cam's white LED lights turned on and off. but when i search for devices in NVR gui, the hik cam refuses to show up. i also manually add but i have no idea what the ip address is.
any idea how to get this hik cam working with the NVR?
 
alright, i finally got it working. the hardest part was getting the camera activated with SADP tool. weird that the program refused to work though. then i had to use MS Edge to directly log into the cam's ip address to configure everything. Firefox didnt even work.
