Thank you for the quick reply, I was thinking of upgrading the firmware mainly because it is 5 years old. I use it with DMSS and I thought it might be safer to have a new firmware
I upgraded and got everything working with my Chinese cameras after upgrading the cameras (Hiseeu)

I'm guilty of bad assumption again. The newer dahua NVR firmware rejects dahua chinese market cameras, which I was assuming. Good to hear your stuff is working.

the update failed,is there a proper way to update?
Make sure you have the right firmware. As I understand there are NVR5xxx-4ks2 v1 and V2.

By reading information that comes with the firmware, some firmware works on both, but not all of them. I wonder why they do these things... :/

Kind regards, demesmaeker

Thanks for the help, I did the upgrade without any problems, the cameras are working normally and some minor problems I had were fixed.

Wondering if I should upgrade my DHI-NVR5216-4KS2, currently running V4.002.0000000.3.R, latest available is V4.002.0000000.6.R.221115.bin - do you guys have any issues with it, or, is it safe to upgrade?

Unless you are having a problem you are trying to fix, If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
There is always a risk of something going wrong.
