hi all

anybody know where exactly ( maybe even pic ) to show where the mic inlet is on the following 2 cams
i want to physically reduce wind rumble as some of the electronic filters cut out spoken voice

IPC-HFW5849T1P-ASE-4K cam 3.6mm lens

IPC-B541R-Z4E-S3

thanks

I have had some success using foam wrapped around some external microphones and it may work by wrapping around the housing where the audio hole is.

My guess is you have small hole on right side of lens. But on the 541R? Not sure, looking at the websites for the camera while says has built in Mic I don't see hole in front like you can see on my Pic. This is from my 4mp so could be different but Dahua likes to make many models same build design, keeping cost down that way.

.Is your Noise reduction enabled in the camera? I mean yeah I understand that it reduces the distance of the Mic pickup but can help with wind as well? I mean sure some of my camera with it disabled I can hear things 200+ feet away but not everyone wants to hear things that far form cameras. Most times it is close voices that are important?
