There is an overwhelming amount of information on this forum. I was wondering what are the Hikvision NVR's like? My parents new house will have 7 cameras around the house, 2 wall mounted iPads in the house for monitoring the cameras.
From reading the forums, these seem to be the best all rounders at the moment: Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)
My parents are in their 60's and so the system needs to be easy. I am happy to set up a Blue Iris server but the iPad app needs to be foolproof. i.e. today they have a Nest Hello and they like the Nest app - its easy, they can scroll through footage and review anything they need.
It seems BlueIris is not 'as' easy. How are the Hikvision NVR's and the App? What NVR would I need for the camera listed above?
The alternative I am considering is a Synology NAS with Surveillance Station.
