Nice @looney2ns , we have one in our back yard as well, but the oaks are so thick we rarely get that good of a look at him.
First time we've seen one in years, even though we hear them often.

They are very cool. We have some that nest in the woods right behind the house every year.
Only bad thing about thing about these (Barred or Screech owls I think) is that sometimes they'll make the most god awful screams that you've ever heard. Sounds about like a woman screaming at the top of their lungs. Scares the living crap out of me every time when I'm out in the yard at night. I think they do it on purpose just to mess with me. lol
