Hikvsion NVR DS-7608NI-SE/P w. Foscam FI9851P (via ONVIF)?!

Hi there

Sorry if this (i.e., using different cameras/NVR via ONVIF) has already been covered somewhere else - please post a link if you have it!

Anyway, my question is simple: I have a Hikvision NVR DS-7608NI-SE/P (firmware V3.0.10 build 141125) w. 5 Hikvision outdoor cams - but would like to add a 6th (lower-cost) Foscam cam (FI9851P) for indoor use.

Does anyone have experience with this? In the "IP Camera" menu, I can add a camera using ONVIF as protocol - but will it work??

i have DS-7716NI-I4/16P and 3 Y-Cam 1080p V2 cams, connected via ONVIF the cam's work for video, but i get no audio from the built in mic. apart from that it seems to work ok. I will need to think hard about replacing the Y-Cam cam's with HikVision ones in the new year.
