Guys I have spent the last two days trying to figure this out. I am looking to set my hikvision cameras to stream remotely at sub stream only while still recording at main stream level quality. We are running into bandwidth issues with remote computers leaving 25 or 64 cameras up on desktops and bogging down the system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ivms4200 aswell, you can choose which stream you want to pull. To be honest why dont u just buy hikvision decoder. It would be perfect for your scenario. Buy like idk 16ch decoder and send HDMI over ethernet for multiple screens. this way only bandwidth used is by decoder from NVR.

Have you tried adjusting the bit rate on the cameras? We do a lot of 60 plus camera systems and always have to make adjustments to smooth it out.
