Hikvision Storage Management HELP with TrueNAS

I have a Hikvision DS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZHS that I use for a dedicated license plate reader. I've been saving the license plate data to an onboard SD card, but I'm looking for something with more storage since the SD card only gives me a couple days. I have a TrueNAS server running 12.0-U8 on the same network.

I'm able to add the NFS share and it tests fine.

I can see the drive, I can format it and it shows up as normal for a minute or two. Here both the SD card and the 1TB drive are showing normal.

Then, it goes back to uninitilaized.

I can complete the process over and over again. The data saves fine to the SD card. I can't think of anything else to tweak in the camera or the NAS. Any ideas are appreciated.
 
in menu storage, pool, edit dataset you must turn snapshot directory to invisible

you must click on advanced option to show that setting
