I've found these forums invaluable to research what to buy and set up my system, but I now have a question that I can't find an answer to.
My residential setup is a Hikvision DS-7608NI-E2/8P with 4 x Hikvision cameras powered by POE.
1 x DS-2CD2232 - recording front of address 24/7
1 x DS-2CD2035 - recording front of address 24/7
1 x DS-2CD2135F-IS - rear garden - records on intrusion detection only
1 x DS-2CD3325 - above front door recording on intrusion only
What I would like is the ability to record sound 24/7 from a single audio source across video input 1 and 2, which do not themselves have built in sound inputs.
I know there is an audio input on the rear of the NVR, but I can't see anywhere that it may be possible to use this as audio input to record.
Is there a setting I am missing to allow audio input via this source, or is there an 'add on' device that I can buy to add audio to a non audio Hikvision camera?
I hope this makes sense, I'm a total novice and self taught via these forums.
