Hikvision smart playback problem

I dont know what I have done, but when I veiw the playback on my monitor, and hold the mouse over the time line, at the bottom of the screen I get 'no resource ' where the preview should be, if that makes sense? On my 8mp darkfighter

When I veiw playback on my other camera (4mp darkfighter) it works as it should.

Any idea

Iv been trying to change different settings to put this right, for the last 2 days! Its really confusing me. I am nearly at the point where Im going to reset the system to the default settings, and start again!

Via an NVR, or the camera web GUI?

if via the camera web GUI, is the LocalServiceComponents helper program installed and allowed to run?
Have you rebooted the camera?
