I am trying to install 3 camera's, but it goes wrong with the WebComponents plugn. It downloads but seems not to work.
I use browser Edge with the Explorer button in the top bar.
I miss a lot of stuff to set up the camera, and also the preview window.
What am I doing wrong ?

Use Internet Explorer, it's hiding in Win 10/11, as follows:
  • Open Notepad:
  • Copy then paste the single line of code below into Notepad:
  • CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application").Visible=true
  • Save as OpenIE.vbs
  • Make sure the the file name ends in .vbs not .txt, If it ends in .txt you must rename to .vbs
  • Create a shortcut to the above file and double-click it anytime you want native Internet Explorer.
Or use Pale Moon browser, 32 bit.

I will try it,
but if this is the way to control settings in a Hikvision camera, I must say that Hikvision did a very crappy job...
FWIW, they are not the only IP camera manufacturer that requires native IE for the best experience when using the camera's webGUI. :idk:

All new series does not require plugin to be viewed. You haven't stated which camera do you have, there might be even available firmware that will solve browser compatibility.

Or perhaps you do have older cams when activeX was ruling the internet :)
