Yeah honestly im software engineer but I got thrown into installing very big numbers of CCTV and didn't find someone locally who have experienced with such big numbers, However the fault is on Hikvision why making 256 NVR that can't handle full those camera ( is not like im installing 12 or more ).so 0.5 mbit is for second stream..
FPS don't matter for NVR network bandwidth limit...
but higher FPS with the same low bitrate decreases video quality (more video frames must fit into the same bandwidth)...
ps. man, those bandwidth informations are BASICS... I don't know what type of installation this is.. but for 200+ camera installation there should be someone who have real EXPERIENCE with cctv systems. And know things like NVRs scale up to 64 max and in some very specific cases up to 128 cams.. for more there should be VMS (like Nx Witness / Digital Watchdog) or even two NVRs working in parallel.
And I didn't know about the VMS, This was first time I read about it I'll consider it for future installations.
However I'll lower the bitrate and make the sub stream as 32 max bite rate ( we dont use sub stream at all ).
According to the calculator it should be enough, But now I've installed 170 Camera only, I'll test and share the result.
Thank you very much for the help.
