I have a Hikvision recorder (DS-7608NI) at a remote location, I am running iVMS on a PC at home. I can see my cameras in main view on the iVMS-4200 application. I have be trying to configure the Steam Media Server(SMS) on this PC. My question is does the PC running SMS and iVMS-4200 have to running on the same network as the recorder? I have the recorder RTSP port set to 1025 as 554 was blocked by my ISP.
Also on the iVMS I have one camera that I get "Recorder_IP Camera 1 Failed to get steam, start reconnection. Error code SMS(311)" this camera work fine when I browse to the recorder or look at the recorder on the iVMS-4500 HD app running on my iPad.
