The Hick site links graciously provided by @marku2 for these different 2mp turret models all appear to have the exact same specs.
2 MP Ultra-Low Light Network Bullet Camera
DS-2CD2025FWD-I
DS-2CD202PFWD-I
DS-2CD202RFWD-I

What am I missing?

Usually the letters on the end stand for different extra functionality, the FWD vs the PFWD is the system compatibility "
System Compatibility: | ONVIF (Profile S, Profile G), PSIA, CGI, ISAPI" vs "
System Compatibility: | ONVIF (Profile S, Profile G),ISAPI "

Has anyone bought Hikvisions and can you make a comparison to Starlight?
I can not imagine that they should be worse than the dahua.
But I'm teachable :)

there are threads comparing the two and you can see the hikvision low light thread...
the hik turret does not have a built in mic.

Hours of searching but i cant see any threads about comparing for example
IPC-HDW5231R-Z / ZE vs the hikvision Version DS-2CD2725FWD-IZS
or
Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN) vs.DS-2DE4225IW-DE
or
IPC-HFW5231E-Z vs. DS-2CD2625FWD-IZS.
you wont find those specific comparisons...there are other hikvision low light cameras...
buy them yourself and post the results ...avoid domes.

Ok, I'll do that. That should be possible with the smaller models.
One question please

I read a lot that the 2MP variants of Starlight are better for night vision than the 2MP+ Versions. In most cases, I read comparisons with Starlight 2MP and not starlight > 3MP.
But that is not fair

But how about the models here from this post, mentioned above?
For example the small Modell:

DS 2CD2035FWD-I
DS 2CD2025FWD-I
They both have the same sensor, lux, shutter time etc.
They should be the identical for night view or not?
There's a snag to it?

they will be similar at night...avoid those bullets unless you like going outside every night in the summer to remove spider webs.

Glad I found this, I'd originally planned to go another route but I've got a tie to an installer who is going to wire our entire new house build for a very good price, install all Unifi APs and a ton of other work. He also can give me cost on the Hikvision cameras. My biggest thing is no domes for obvious reasons and I want a camera that will be relatively comparable to the Dahua Starlight cams in low light. There are a ton of videos here on Dahua for obvious reasons but no so for Hikvision. Can anyone elaborate on comparable cameras OR shed some light (no pun intended) on overall performance in low light situations? Planning to go with turrets and if need be bullets. The goal is to identify a subject at up to 100 to 125' away in day or night situations so varifocal for sure.

Why do you say you need varifocal to identify someone 100 to 125' away? If you get the right fixed lens they would both have the same ability to identify someone. Or is my inexperience showing and I'm completely missing something here?
