Hikvision DS-KD-M card reader - firmware update

Hello,

I have an Hikvision DS-KD-M card reader, attached to my KD8003 door intercom.
DS-KD-M firmware is 1.0.0 and I just downloaded the 2.0.0 version. Unzipping the file there is two .bin files in it, identical in size and similar name: one ends with "net", and one ends with "serial". Which one should I use? No explanation anywhere.

use the net version, that one can be upload with network
serial, i think it can only be used if you use a serial cable connection

Well eventually it turned out I cannot upgrade it. In the EU firmware download there is an explanatory txt that says that unless there is a N in the label behind the device, you are stuck to firmware 1.0.0.
Why is it that the same global company has different downloads, and different versions, between different geographic areas, one may wonder...

ah thats strange, i was only aware of chinese modified versions
Maybe you just have another hardware revision

but is there an important fix you are looking after ?
