Hi buddy just try it out set it up on a spare ethernet cable and when happy with the location then mount it.

Thanks, Jamil, I would do that, but I am still waiting for the indoor station to arrive and want to mount the door station now.
The camera pans slightly but no tilt.
The height is subjective but 4.5’ is a good start.
