HIKVISION DS-7616NI-E2/8P - Seagate 2TB HDD problem

Hello folks,

I´ve bought a DS-7616NI-E2/8P and having some problem with the Segate hdd.

Frimware version V3.05 build 140703

Firstable it detect hdd and shoes 1.8Gb of free space... so.... after a while... it shows 0 free space and it´s not able to record anything.
When I try to edit and play with the HDD.. it kind of frezes the HD..

Last thing that I´ve done was to try to format the HD... it takes a long time and go up to 22% them says that a problem occured.... When I restart the NVR it says tha HDD must be formated and freezes at 22% again... any guess on what should I do? Any way to troubleshoot that?

HDD is brand new.

Brand new drives can be bad..test it using manufacturer software on a pc..

Ok, if I format it using Pc what kind of formatting should I use? Ntfs fat32?

dont format it..TEST it. You will need to format it again in the NVR...
