Hikvision DS-7616NI-E2/8P - motion detection record

Hello all,

I have a Hikvision DS-7616NI-E2/8P with the firmware version V3.0.5 build 140703.

Using 2X DS-2CD2135F-IS cameras, 1X 2CD2232-I5 and 1X chinese fisheye camera.

It just can record in continuos mode. When I try to set motion detection, alarm or VCA it doesn't records anything.


Any toughts on what to do?

Have you set a timeline for motion on Storage > Schedule Settings?

Also, check if Trigger channel is enabled on motion settings.

Also, ensure the sensitivity is something reasonable. If it is too low, motion detection event may not get triggered.

Hello all, sorry for the long time but my HD had a failure. Bought a new surveillance one. So, still the same. Just continuous is recording anything.For any motion dtection is not recording anything. Followed the trigger to channel to start recording. Changed sensivity. Where can I recheck the correct configuration to make it work? Br,

I have a 7716. To set the motion detection vs continuous I have a menu choice of 'Recording - Schedule'. On that page you can define how to record. I had to fiddle with it a bit to get it set up correctly. Don't know if your 7616 has same menu.

Yes have it. But no matter what I do still not working.

Would like to know if anyone had the same problem?

So your entire weekly grid is set to 'Event' (yellow on my system)?
And on the upper right, 'Enable Schedule' is checked?
