I have a DS-7616NI/E2/16P NVR running firmware V3.4.62, build 160503. Where could I get the latest stable firmware?

And you need to download the updates sequentially. Do not skip over updates.

Also - jumping to the 'NVR 4' firmware has been fraught with configuration corruption problems. Though it's not available for your specific model.

Dear all,
I've got an NVR DS7616-NI-E2, firmware 3.0.10. However, it won't upgrade to 3.2.0, the next firmware available at the portal.
I tried all versions from the portal, and it fails for all. Seems like I need 3.1.0, but can't find it anywhere :(
Any clues on where can I find it? Googled up and down the Internet with no luck.

I need Hik-connect to work on the NVR. The 3.0.10 has only the DDNS option which doesn't work for my network arrangement.
Any advice is highly appreciated.

It looks like your on the UK Hikvision site. Have you verified the NVR is UK / International version? I'd also suggest in searching the Hikvision US website and see if the update you need is listed there. Just be careful because sometimes the firmware is different with EU/UK/US/International versions

Well, I am not sure what version it is as it was procured in Malaysia.
I also noticed that in the firmware, the model number is N and not NI. But the label at the back says the opposite.

Search the device type in Hikvision. I would assume if it was purchased in Malaysia its going to be a international or Chinese model. That's probably why your running into the upgrade issue.

I would leave it with the firmware it has......I'd hate to see you break the NVR with a firmware upgrade.....People come in here all the time that tried to update the firmware of Devices, that they bought with another Country code, and then run into problems

Your screenshot shows that this is actually a Chinese NVR, with very old firmware.
The barcode label with the -NI suffix is a fake.

The usual consequence of attempting a firmware upgrade with EN firmware on a CN NVR is a 15-beep bootloop.
But a CN E-series NVR can be converted to EN and fully updated with the much improved firmware using this procedure :
