Just bought a new DS-7616 and trying to connect some older cameras such as Sricam 1004/05 or wanscam ptz(indoor), I'm so far unable to get either of them to connect to the NVR, anyone have the same issue, if so how did you resolve it.
Also have a few other 1mp or better non Hikvision cameras that i have gotten connected but unable to control the motion settings(dont want to use continuous recording)

trying something else, Blue iris is way to power hungry, from what i have and running 5) 2mp or less cameras, it will take a $1000-$1500 computer to handle 12 to 16 cameras(3mp average)

You are misinformed. You can run your load on 200 dollar computer. You can run 12-16 3mp cameras on a 300-500 pc. There are many threads that discuss this.

Well I have a quad core 1.8ghz with 8gb ram windows 10 64bit and it's running at 87% or higher 90% of the time with a SSDrive

I'll have to look around to and see what they doing or not doing different

What EXACT processor do you have? The words quad core and 1.8ghz mean nothing. What cameras and what resolution and frame rate?
You need to set direct to disk recording. record tab>file format. Each camera. This does not work in the demo mode.

The Celeron N2930 is a very weak processor.

Have you enabled direct to disk for each camera? This is extremely important.
Have you enabled hardware acceleration?
Also, lower the frame rates in the cameras themselves to 15. 30fps is extreme overkill.

hello, I know Wanscam JW0005, this cameras do not support NVR, if you need it connect to NVR, you need go for HW series. You can go to their alibaba:www.wanscam.en.alibaba.com
Probably but this is terrible advice. If you have a Hikvision NVR then stick with Hikvision cameras. If you want to save money then don't get a Hikvision NVR.
