Hikvision ds-7608ni-m2/8p nvr

Hi all,

Sorry newbie question.......

I'm looking at buying a Hikvision ds-7608ni-m2/8p nvr. Can any one tell me if the NVR has to be hared wired to the Router for the remote viewing function on the App to work, as where I plan to put the NVR it is not near the Router and will be connected via WIFI?

hard wire. or get a AP connect to the nvr and shoot back to the router.
