I've been using this cam for a couple of years and its performed great. Just recently started playing with Smart Tracking and have a few questions.

Here's what I've done:

After a bit of reading I decided to enable smart tracking under Event/Smart Event/Linkage Method and not under PTZ/Smart Tracking. The issue is the cam will track items like leaves and squirrels. It doesn't seem to matter where I put the sensitivity. As logic would assume, 1 is less sensitive than 100?

Any tips on drawing regions under area settings to make tracking more effective?

Thanks!

Bump... Anyone have any ideas why my sensitivity setting doesn't seem to make any difference?

100 is much more sensitive.

i'm also looking for the best smart track tips...

for example: how long is the time between when the cam stops tracking and goes back to start position? Here it is 5 seconds and i hope you know where i can set this 10 seconds or more...

This model supports smart tracking but it's a "dumb" version of it.
Meaning it will be triggered by any object in motion.
I'd suggest playing with min. and max. size when creating a smart event if possible.
If not, see if you can put the PTZ on the latest firmware.
If this also does not help, well then I have no idea actually.
