Hi,

I'm currently looking for a IP PTZ working with my Hikvision 7208HQHI and have found this chinese version of a DS-2DE4220IW-D on AE. My obvious question would be if the DVR and the camera would work together as I'm from Germany and the camera wasn't made for this region.

I'd just be the regular version but this price seems to be amazingly cheap which is why I would'nt bother a chinese menu as long as the PTZ and motion detection will work via the DVR and iVMS for Android.

I hope this is the right place to ask and apologize for any question that have already been asked. Here's the link to the camera http://www.aliexpress.com/item/free-shipping-chinese-version-DS-2DE4220IW-D-2MP-IP-Camera-Mini-PTZ-Camera-security-Camera-instead/32720325171.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.10.WxdEOX&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_0,searchweb201602_5_10057_10056_10065_10068_10055_10054_10069_10059_10058_10073_10017_10070_10060_10061_10052_10062_10053_10050_10051,searchweb201603_9&btsid=5fb5329f-f28e-4a9c-a2bf-111dc3a31874

If you want it from Ali I'd buy it already hacked to English.

Then just don't update the firmware. You can always make sure it has no Internet connectivity if you are concerned about security of future bugs etc.

I actually don't really care where I get it from as long as the price is right. I'd go for Nelly or milkisbad (if they ship to Germany), but I couldn't find the model anywhere else to buy (for this low price).

So will the chinese version work with my DVR or will I have issues installing the camera. Since it's an IP camera I'd just connect it to my router and tell the DVR to look for any cameras in the network. As long as the DVR's language won't be affected by the camera's firmware, I don't really care.

But how will I be able to make sure the camera doesn't have internet acces since it's an IP camera. It will have access the second I plug it in right ? And wanting to use the PTZ I guess this wouldn't work, huh ?
