Hello there

Does anyone know the differences between the two cameras?

Also my NVR is an older version (NVR DS-7608NI-K2/8P I think), will it be able to use the full capability of the GEN 2 cameras? For example human detection? Or do I need NVR 4.0?

Check the specs, they are quite different.
One is a ColorVu model.

NVR 4.x is available for the K2 series.
What's the current firmware version?
If it's still 3.x, beware there is a potential problem when doing too large an upgrade jump.
