Hi all,
New to the forum and Ive been doing a lot of reading as Im planning my first setup. Im wanting a 2 camera setup connected to an NVR to cover the front and back of the house. Good quality images day and night is required as the front isnt that well lit since we had LED street lights installed (narrower downward beam) and its even darker at the back.Reading all the articles has made me going round in circles. Lots of people like the Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-Z and also the Hikvision DS-2CD2385FWD is rated well too. I can also get the Hikvision $40 cheaper than the Dahua. Putting these cameras into IPVM, the Hikvision gives a much better PPF than the Dahua as having better facial recognition is a factor (or else why bother).
Also any advice on NVRs that you can give for either machines would be appreciated as well as recommended disks manufacturers and storage space.
Thank you.
