I had a Foscam IP camera which worked OK for years with the odd drop out. Recently refused to stay up and saw a whole load of stuff online about flashing the firmware due to a know issue. er - no thanks, bye bye Foscam and lets just buy a new camera.
Hence the above camera, Ive connected it with a dedicated power supply and a LAN cable (over powerline). Everything seems OK but I cannot for love nor money get it to send attached images on an email alert.
My ISP is 123 Reg and I used exactly the same email parameters as the prev camera but when I test I get 'Failed to connect the test server' but it does send emails but without any attachment. There seem to be lots of discrepancies between connecting directly to the camera on its IP and the supplied iVMS-4200 Client software.
Please can someone advise what I need to do to get this working?
