Hi guys, I have Hikvision Dome Camera " Mic WiFi Hikvision 4MP 4x PTZ IP Camera PoE IR20m H.265+ DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3/W".
1--I did Port Forwarding shows "Success"
2--When I type External IP : port# after this says LIVE VIEW FAILED, where is Port Forwarding is Success shows
3--in CMD ping is success.
4--Plug-In is up to Date installed.
5--tried 5 different Browsers, still same problem "Live View Failed" shows. Local IP is working, External IP live view is failing

So how to get Live View Success.

Please let me know.

Thanks

Would need more info.. DDNS as your title states is a Domain Namer Server system.. Normally you setup a name with a provider and you access your device using a Domain Name.. So seeing your name for this forum is tester2. I will use that.. So like if you were to setup something with No-Ip you would make a connection with tester2.no-ip.org. that after you setup would be linked to your constantly changing IP if it did change. Mine is static and has been for last 7 years..

I already have the no-ip DDNS by using this(Dynu) and I am able to login on the browser to access my camera. I also have the external IP set with port forwarding (by using External IP also Live View is Failed). I am able to login using both methods. I don't use any nvr and the videos are recorded onto the camera sd card.

However after logging in on the browser, I can not access the live view because it is saying live view is failed. In this case what can be the issue to watch the live view?
Note: Live view is working on local ip, but it is not working with external ip or DDNS

Ok. that sounds like an issue with video feed Encryption.. You should have an area on your WebUI. where it talks about Video encryption. You will want to make a note of that info and or setup that info in your local WebUI and make sure the DDNS view has that same data.. Or might be an issue with video port or RTSP port not setup to work with your current setting for external live view? Maybe someone with your camera that connects using DDNS will be able to send you in the right direction. Don't know what type of ISP you are using but it could also be an issue with your ISP blocking the ports that are being forwarded..

So sounds like all ports needed are not being forwarded, issue with Encryption for the live feed and or network issue maybe even being blocked by your ISP..

Have you tried to stream the camera's RTSP directly to VLC running on the same PC you're using the browser? Just sub in YOUR correct info (user, pass, IP, port, etc.) using the URL below in VLC in "Media" => "Open Nework stream". Double check the syntax for spelling, punctuation, spaces, etc.

RTSP with Authentication on Hikvision IPC:
rtsp:/<username>:<password>@<IP address of device>:<RTSP port>/Streaming/channels/<channel number><stream number>
Example:
rtsp:/Hikvision:guest@173.200.91.70:554/Streaming/channels/101 – get the main stream of the 1st channel

NOTE: Be sure to place 2 "/" after "rtsp:" as forum software will not allow 2 to be displayed concurrently.

I have Rogers Modem, i can't do port forwarding inside this modem, when i call Rogers ISP they said you have to do port forwarding on cell phone. so i did port forwarding on cell phone. and i have 8 cameras, on all 8 cameras i gave different RTSP port#s. as you can see in one of the camera Photo RTSP port shows.

on all of this 8 camaras unable to see from External IP.

How to set up RTSP port to work with current setting for external live view?

I try to connect camera from different network, still same problem, no live view.

Hint: port forwarding not a good idea. Try a VPN or similar instead

That's hilarious. Who the heck is your ISP?

That's because the port forward MUST done in a router than manages your WAN so that when a WAN-originated (Internet) request for a specific port is made it will forward that request to a specific LAN IP.

Besides, a VPN is highly recommended over port-forwarding as mentioned previosuly.

Is there any way I can get free VPN for 2 months trial. If yes then what are the instructions I have to follow to set up my all 8 Cameras on VPN. Because in my Modem there is no way I can do Port Forwarding.

The VPN you want is free.

Paid VPN is for illegal streaming and porno LOL.

OpenVPN is common on many routers or you install it on a computer. Others use Tailscale, Wireguard, or Zerotier.
