Unfortunately I have to ask a question

with this dvr from the information I can find
This is a 32 channel dvr how many streams can be viewed at once
The manual says 8 channels at 1080
That is low for 32 channel dvr

Yes, that's what the specifications say :

Decoding Capability2-ch @ 8 MP (25fps) / 4-ch @ 4MP (30fps) / 8-ch @ 1080p (30fps)

But generally in a multiview live or playback screen most of the images will be using the substream, at a low resolution.
