just got this dvr and only have 2 cameras connected out of 8 possible. i can`t figure out how to get it to stop beeping. i treid muting all cameras , went inot settings and tried turning off any audio that i could and it just keeps beeping every 30 seconds or so. any ideas?

format HDD or replace it if it doesn't fix the issue (could have damage sectors)..
That is the problem LOL - the beeping is letting you know there is an issue with the hard drive, or in your case no hard drive.
The beep is annoying so that people know their system isn't recording.
If yours is a dvr, not nvr and you want a backup I’ve got a ds7216 I’ll give you. Doesn’t have hdd or power supply though. I’ll eventually throw it out otherwise
