I just received my first IP camera, a Hikvision 2332 turret. I ran SADP, found the camera, and at one point was able to see it on my PC (local network) by entering the IP address.

Then, I started trying to figure out port forwarding and in the process might have alterned an important setting on my router or camera. As of right now, I can see the camera using the iVMS-4500 app on my android (on my local WIFI network), but when I try to open the camera in a browser (tried three browsers and cleared history), I get an "unable to connect" page.

According to SADP, the camera has firmware v 5.2.5 build 141201.

My iVMS-4500 settings are:
IP address: 192.168.1.60
Port 8000
User name: admin
Pw:*******

SADP finds the camera with the same IP address above. When I click on the IP address in SADP, it opens a browser and I get the same "unable to connect" message.

I have removed all port forwarding settings from my router and I am at a loss as to why I am unable to see the camera on my PC.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. Make sure you are not adding port 8000 in the address that is the media port not http port...just type 192.168.1.60

Thanks for the reply, fenderman. I was not including a port number. I entered the address exactly as you suggested and could not connect in a browser.

is it possible that you changed the http port? if so you need to enter it after the ip address 192.168.1.60:XXXX with the XXXX being the port number..if you are uncertain, download the fing app on your phone connect your network, scan it find the device on 192.168.1.60 then hit scan services and it will tell you the ports the camera is broadcasting..

You are brilliant! Apparently when I was trying to set up port forwarding, I changed the http port. I guess I should not have done that.

Now I am getting the login screen for the camera. The password that was working in SADP is not working for the camera login, but I will work on that later. Time to call it a night. Many thanks.
