I am about to purchase my first turret cam for outdoor installation using POE. I need to run the wires several feet outside and don't plan to use conduit. I need a way to protect the connection to the camera connectors. I think a junction box is the way to go, but how do I protect the opening where the cable enters the box if I'm not using conduit?

Here are a few pics of how I used a cable gland on an PFA122 box. Not sure if this is the box for your cam, but the concept would work on any cam box.
These are the cable glands I used. It is important to get the 'Thread lengthening' otherwise the box wall is too thick to be able to get the nut and washer on. Size PG7 is perfect for Cat5e or Cat6.

Doubt it. That is a coverless wall box for a specific wall mount. Which camera are you talking about? Model number or link please.
