Help with focus issues

We got hit again by the car door checkers. I upgraded cameras to the Dahua IPC-HFW5231E-Z12E because last time we got hit, you couldn't see anything due to the box store cameras being to wide angle. So now with my new cameras I still cant see anything good enough to tell any details. I feel like it is an issue with motion blur causing the blurry image. Any help on changing some setting in blue iris that would give me a clearer picture at night?

It looks like that guy is wearing something over his face. No security camera will help in that case.

Still, you wouldn't likely have gotten good ID quality images even if he wasn't wearing the mask. So it may be worth looking into improving things.

I think you need less of a wide view to get good ID quality at these distances. You may also need better illumination in order to achieve higher shutter speeds and less image noise.

But again, it doesn't take much effort to thwart security cameras. A hoodie and a mask, and it doesn't matter what sort of camera setup you have.

I wonder if these new fangled active deterrent cameras would help in this situation? Which is the most common reason I get residential installation requests.
