Help understanding multistream playback

The only time I am able to see video playback of the main stream (not including live video) is during a section of the video when an alert is triggered. See my attached snapshot of the timeline w/ crude annotations and camera settings. All other video playback (and video exporting) is of the lower quality stream. Selecting "Selected Camera Only" from the left pane does not have an impact, nor does maximizing the screen.

If I elect to not record substreams, playback of all video is as I would expect, high resolution.

This is BI 5.4.6.3. I suspect I am missing something simple.

That is because you are recording continuous+ alerts, which means that it records substream until an alert then records mainstream for the alert.

If you want 24/7 mainstream recording, then select just continuous.

Read the helpfile for how the different recording options are recorded as some have been added or modified with the newest updates!
