Help to record when Audio is detected

Hi All
I have a Dahua on a corner that's not picking up activity due to where I had to place it, is there a way to record on audio detection only?

Iv'e been messing around in the Video/Audio setting but can't figure it out.

Any help would be much appreciated indeed.

The dahua cameras im using dont allow audio detection, if its there its not gonna work very well because the mic on it is really bad and picks up smallest echos and sounds.

best to setup motion triggered.

Turn off noise reduction in the cameras settings.

Have you tried to setup IVS rules in your camera? This would work better than audio detection.
