These threads have really helped me with the set up of the above NVR.

I am currently having difficulty with the 'tour' setting.

I have 2 monitors (Main/Sub Screen); 24 Dahua IP Cameras on this NVR:
IPC-HFW3549T1P-AS-PV-S4 (10)
IPC-HFW5449TP-ASE-LED (13)
IPC-PFW3849SP-A180-E2-AS-PV-0280B (1)

Is it possible for the 'Main screen' to remain static (display 24 live cameras) and for the 'Sub Screen' to display Motion Detection only?

Any advice or guidance will be highly appreciated or a different set up of how to get motion detection only on one screen and live view on another.

Can I see a picture of your Display screen. Normally if your NVR is Ai and you setup for Ai if it isn't able to support the dual monitor display it will say so when you try to save.. Then I have had it setup so my Sub monitor was on a 16ch split and main monitor as my own need view, Then when something triggers it would pop up on the sub monitor.. You would setup the sub by right clicking and pick sub channel mouse will move over there then click and change lay out..

However some systems are not setup with dual monitor ability and when you connect 2 monitors it will show the same for both and in some cases might do pop up on the sub but most times if they are tied then it is what happens on 1 is the same on the other..

check tour settings - can you setup your tours and motion for second screen???

if not - use first HDMI output / monitor as tour display.
and second one for classic 5x5 (25 live views) view...

you can choose this 5x5 (25 cams) view using right click on live view page (you must exit from any menus)...
You will need 4k monitor with HDMI for second view to have best resolution...

You can also enable on first monitor Ai view - extra right panel with last 5 AI events with thumbnails (also available in right mouse click menu)... I don't remember the option name - but it is there as one of the laters options..

with this you have many cam live view + latest 5 motion / IVS / Video Meta data events like this:

So a couple of things I just found out the hard way.. After a firmware downgrade, system reset and settings up and doing a video, I found that one of the things you can't do if you are using Ai in the recorder you can't setup a Sub channel. I figured this out after making the Video and noticing that one of the channels I use the recorder to do Tripwires for was using its own tripwire and when I went to setup the ch for Ai by recorder because I had enabled Sub Streaming it said no.. So if you are using your recorder with Ai channels to any of your non-Ai cameras or for a different reason then it won't let you setup a sub channel. Then the question they are asking is on your Tour Tab do you have the Sub Stream option at the area. Tour tab should look like this if you have tours ability. with having 2 HDMI and D-subs I am sure you do have tour on your sub..

Thank you for the response.

Yes, I can use tour on main screen but not on sub screen, currently sub screen just displays SMD detection and cameras rotate in 5 sec intervals.

I will set the 5x5 option on sub screen and see how that goes.

I like the AI view option! Would be ideal for this display. I want the tour to POP UP when movement is detected.

Awesome to hear you got it worked out. For others in the future that read your thread, what was your solution while it's fresh so someone that may ask months later after maybe forgot the solution, may not even need to ask, just thank you for helping solve the issue.
